Motley Crue’s Retirement Contract Proves They’re The Best Band Ever

Posted by admin with No Comments

On Jan. 28, one of the most popular hair bands of all time sadly announced that they would be going on their last tour ever — but the way they’re ending their time together just proves that they really are the best ever.

When Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee formed Motley Crue in 1981, they had never expected it to become one of the largest and most popular rock and roll bands of the ’80s. So, while it breaks my heart that the band will never again be together on stage after this final tour, it makes me so happy that they’re respecting each other and their fans enough to go out the right way.

Motley Crue’s Exit Proves Their Amazing

“Other bands have split up over rancor or the inability of people to get along, but this is mutual among all four original members and a peaceful decision to move on to other endeavors and to confirm it with a binding agreement,” the band’s attorney Doug Mark said in a press conference on Jan. 28. Motley Crue Promise to Never Reunite After Next Tour

The band has signed a ‘cessation of touring agreement’

Mötley Crüe promise they will never, ever, ever get back together after they break up next year. Today, the band members went so far as to sign a “cessation of touring agreement” at a press conference in Los Angeles. That legal filing will go into effect at the end of 2015.

“All bad things must come to an end,” reads the tag line on the poster for Mötley Crüe’s upcoming tour. The group also confirmed details surrounding “The Final Tour” and announced their kick off on July 2nd in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In celebration of their announcements, the band will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight and CBS This Morning tomorrow.

“We always had a vision of going out with a big fucking bang and not playing county fairs and clubs with one or two original band members,” drummer Tommy Lee said in a statement. “Our job here is done.” Read the rest of this entry »

Mötley Crüe to Retire Following Massive Tour

Posted by admin with No Comments

One last tour for the metal misfits — they mean it. Also announced: A country tribute album and film adaptation of “The Dirt”

After 30-plus years of world-class debauchery and spinning drum kits, Motley Crue is calling it quits with a 72-city North America tour and a legally binding agreement that prevents any of the four members from touring under the name. The tour starts July 2 in Grand Rapids, Mich., and runs through Nov. 21 in Vancouver, B.C. with Alice Cooper opening the shows. Their hometown gig will be at the Hollywood Bowl on July 21.

“We’ve talked about this for years,” bassist Nikki Sixx said Tuesday at the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel. “It’s because we are on top, holding it together. We wanted to leave a legacy (and) we feel there are a lot of bands that don’t have dignity. We want to call it a day and be proud.”

Added singer Vince Neil, “We don’t want to be one of those bands where one guy is left. We wanted to go out with the four founding members and go out on top.” Read the rest of this entry »

MÖTLEY CRÜE To Perform On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

Posted by admin with No Comments

MÖTLEY CRÜE will be the musical guest on the January 28 episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” The band will perform several songs on the show’s outdoor stage in front of a standing-room-only crowd.

Earlier that day, MÖTLEY CRÜE is expected to hold a press conference in Los Angeles under the banner “RIP: All Bad Things Must Come To An End” during which they will announce the first details of their farewell tour, which will likely last for a couple of years.

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx was asked in an October 2013 interview with RollingStone.com about the time table for the band’s eventual farewell tour, which singer Vince Neil said could begin as early as May 2014.

“We haven’t decided when that is, we’re talking about that,” Sixx said. “It’ll happen, but we don’t know when it will happen.

“The most important thing about a farewell tour is that the band doesn’t lie to the fans, and the band doesn’t tour and then come back years later. That’s what’s important for us, planning what’s the right time to go out. Read the rest of this entry »

Tommy Lee Permanently Banned From Coachella

Posted by admin with No Comments

Tommy Lee has revealed the he and his Motley Crue bandmates have been permanently banned from Coachella. In a new interview series called “Coffee Run,” hosted by Deadmau5, the pair covered a myriad of topics, including the pair’s fateful encounter with Coachella’s main promoter.

According to the Lee, the incident occurred after he and Deadmau5 “landed a helicopter in a field with burning vans.”

Lee adds that the promoter didn’t see the humor in the gag and screamed: “Motley Crue will never play Coachella!” to which Lee merely replied: “OK.”

“I’m just wondering if one of us maybe accidentally f—ed his girlfriend,” chuckled Lee. “You can’t be that mad at somebody or hate somebody that much unless you’ve personally done something to him.” [Source]
