For several months now, rumors have been circulating that Tommy Lee would be the next candidate for VH1′s reality dating series, Rock of Love. But according to the 45-year-old rocker, there is no truth to the controversy.To clear his name, he released a statement through his official newsletter where he also said that the program was nonsense.“Just to stop the rumors,” Lee said. “I am not nor would I ever do a stupid show like the Rock of Love!”Though strongly critical of Rock of Love, Lee, best known as the drummer of heavy metal band Motley Crue, and ex-husband of actress Pamela Anderson (Baywatch) and Heather Locklear (Melrose Place), has already been part of other reality shows. He has starred in Tommy Lee Goes to College where Lee was featured pursuing studies and extracurricular activities at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. In addition, he has also graced Rock Star: Supernova, a reality series that focused on a search for a lead singer for a newly-formed band. In line with Tommy Lee’s claim that he will not be part of Rock of Love 2, it has already been announced that Bret Michaels, who starred in the show’s freshman run, will be returning for the new season, which is scheduled to premiere in early 2008.

Having achieved the pinnacle of success as a rock ‘n roll drummer with the Crue and his other bands, Rock Star Supernova and Methods Of Mayhem, Lee decided in 2000 to team up with fellow band member, DJ Aero (born Chester Deitz), to work towards a relentless schedule of electronic music DJ gigs. Their debut at WMC 2004′s Ultra Music Festival in Miami took the rock and dance music worlds by storm. It’s 2007 and the Electro Mayhem Tour has gathered full steam, led by agent Johnny Maroney of CEG Talent; Lee/Aero bring their multi-sensory, audiovisual performances to clubs across North America. Lest critics doubt Lee’s sincerity for club culture after such a high-profile career in rock, he says, “I touched turntables and that was my turning-point! Mixmaster Mike and Aero inspired and taught me a lot about DJing. I started DJing and realized you could do all these things, musically.” Far from having any downtime, Lee/Aero installed a full, virtual studio on their tour bus, thus allowing them the ability to personalize each night’s set. Endless miles give way to fruitful production sessions, and Lee/Aero are ready to release their debut, original, electronic dance music productions. When Aero isn’t touring with Lee, he is a web designer and runs a lucrative, million-dollar online retail business. Says Aero of the life he now leads, “Whenever I get booked to travel to Dubai, Toronto or Zurich to DJ, I pinch myself. It’s a blessing and I’m always appreciative.”

Drummer Tommy Lee on-off relationship with his Motley Crue bandmates is on again – just days after guitarist Nikki Sixx revealed he’s quit. Lee initially announced he was leaving the band this summer, but he quickly changed his mind. However, Sixx revealed he’d had enough of his bandmate’s “antics” and they’d mutually agreed to go their separate ways last week. Now it looks like Lee is back in the band after singer Vince Neil told MTV News that news of the drummer’s departure was greatly exaggerated. He explained, “I just talked to him yesterday and I talked to Nikki a couple of days ago and we’re going to go into the studio in January and hopefully have a single out by March and a tour in June.” Neil also revealed the band are working on a new album called “The Dirt,” named after their hit autobiography.
