Finally, I converted this site to wordpress. I think that the site looks better with this script and this is more professional to me. What do you think??? I didn’t change the layout but I added some new stuff and more are coming soon!! So, please, come back to take a look to the updates. MOTLEY CRUE recently wrapped up the U.S. leg of their Crue Fest 2 tour, but the band aren’t finished on the road quite yet. VINCE NEIL says they’re planning to spend the winter in Canada, followed by a European arena tour. Once that’s over, they’ll head to Australia before going back into the studio in the spring to begin work on the next album. That set will be released in 2011, to commemorate the band’s 20th anniversary. Tommy Lee has been tapped as one of three judges for the upcoming Fortune Battle of the Corporate Bands competition, according to a press release. Lee will be joined at the judges table by musician/author Jeff Carlisi and “Making Music” magazine editor-in-chief Antoinett Follett for the Oct. 3 competition, which will be held at Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. The ninth annual Battle of the Corporate Bands, presented by NAMM and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, provides amateur, company-sponsored bands from across the US an opportunity to step out of the boardroom and onto the stage at the Rock Hall.  Read the rest of this entry » |

Part one of a new documentary on the making of MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s classic 1989 album, “Dr. Feelgood”, can be viewed below. CRÜE performed “Dr. Feelgood” in its entirety on this year’s Crüe Fest 2, the sophomore outing of the band’s summer festival tour, to celebrate the record’s 20th anniversary. Eleven Seven Music/Mötley Records/Universal re-released “Dr. Feelgood” on September 21. Originally issued on September 1, 1989, “Dr. Feelgood” reached #1 on the Billboard chart and went on to sell more than seven million copies worldwide. The title track reached No. 7 on the Hot 100 and earned the band their first two Grammy nominations (Best Hard Rock Performance: “Dr Feelgood” in 1989 and “Kickstart My Heart” in 1990). Twenty years later, the band was nominated for another Grammy Award and is celebrating its hit album “Saints of Los Angeles” on an arena tour of the U.S.  Read the rest of this entry » |

Legendary drummer Tommy Lee of rock band Motley Crue is one of three judges chosen to pick the best corporate rock band in the upcoming FORTUNE Battle of the Corporate Bands presented by NAMM, the trade association of the international music products industry, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Lee will be joined by noted musician and author Jeff Carlisi and Making Music magazine editor-in-chief Antoinette Follett as judges at the ninth annual event, taking place on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. The first music competition of its kind, the battle provides amateur, company-sponsored bands with the opportunity to step out of the conference room and celebrate their passion for making music. Eight qualifying bands from across the U.S. will take the stage at the Rock Hall, with the chance to earn the title of best corporate band. The event is also generously supported by Gibson Guitar. “I’m happy to be part of this year’s FORTUNE Battle of the Corporate Bands,” said Lee. “An amazing amount of talent exists across the country, and for people to come together in the workplace and express themselves in a different way proves what kind of power music has in elevating morale and bringing people together.”  Read the rest of this entry » |

Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash will help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Mirage Hotel & Casino on October 2nd in Las Vegas with a special show billed as “Slash and Friends.” The list of performers includes Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, Rob Zombie, Led Zeppelin drummer Jason Bonham, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, Courtney Love, Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum, Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen and others. Kiefer Sutherland will host and information on tickets can be found at mirage.admission.com. One of Slash’s guests, Joe Perry, seems to be doing everything he can to keep himself busy since the cancellation of Aerosmith’s summer tour. In an interview with the Associated Press, Perry went off on Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler, whose fall from a stage in South Dakota ended the trek prematurely last month. Read the rest of this entry » |
