|
Electric guitar players, bassists and people who play any other type of musical instrument are being invited to appear on Tommy Lee’s new album. The Motley Crue rocker has launched a competition through The Public Record website, in which musicians are invited to upload their accompaniments to raw backing tracks. If a person’s track is picked for inclusion on the record, they will be credited on the album and potentially invited to perform live with the music star. Applicants are being given free rein to play in whatever style they choose on any instrument, even the drum kit – Tommy Lee’s own area of expertise. “It doesn’t matter what you play – just record it and send it our way,” The Public Record said. “This may jumpstart your music career.” The 47-year-old released his debut album with Motley Crue – Too Fast For Love – in 1981 and achieved further success with records such as Girls, Girls, Girls and Theatre of Pain.  [Source] |
