Tommy Lee has rocked every continent multiple times, sold millions of records with MÖTLEY CRÃœE and on his own, done everything a musician dreams of doing, except he’s never made a record with the entire world. The new METHODS OF MAYHEM album, now entitled “A Public Disservice Announcement”, is set for release on September 21 and features Tommy Lee collaborating with the world. Lee commented, “When I founded METHODS in 1999, the whole purpose of the band was to be all over the place. In keeping with that, this METHODS isn’t anything like the last one. There’s no hip hop and there’s no roster of guest stars. This time, it’s me, my band, and the world.”

Tommy Lee and his team, including producer Scott Humphrey, singer-guitarist J3 and others, wrote and recorded the songs for the new album, then made the core components of each available for download on www.thepublicrecord.com to anyone who wished to add their playing or otherwise re-interpret the music however they saw fit. Lee listened to every single submission that was uploaded, chose the best, and integrated the actual audio tracks into the album’s final cuts. More members of the hard rock and heavy metal community have posted their messages online to pay tribute to the legendary heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio, who sadly passed away yesterday morning as a result of stomach cancer. You can read some more of these messages below.

Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx: “I still have this image of him standing on stage in front of 100,000 belting out ‘Man On The Silver Mountain’ and remember the shivers it sent up my spine. He’s one of the kindest souls I have ever met and his talent was beyond inspirational to so many of us. Those of us that had the opportunity to know Ronnie can tell you what a wonderful and passionate man he was.”

KISS: “We mourn the tragic passing of the great Ronnie James Dio. In addition to his powerhouse vocal ability, Ronnie was a true gentleman who always emanated great warmth and friendship to us and everyone around him. We will miss him.”

Hail Of Bullets: “There are no words to describe this sad loss. One of the if not the greatest rock/metal singer of all time has passed away…you will be missed.”

Occasionally I find myself in the nose bleed section of the cable listings, somewhere past TBS, USA, and TNT, but before the dreaded Country Music Channel. This week I was perusing the cable nose bleeds and came across the Biography episode of Tommy Lee. At first glance this didn’t sound that interesting, but I was quickly captured when I saw Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne as part of the documentary.

The interview portion begins with Tommy inside his famous home studio decorated complete with a Starbucks and cocktail lounge. Lee is quick to pull out his song “Good Times� for the crew to hear. From here, most of the interview is spent in his backyard, near a pond with gold fish. This is where we learn of the support his parents gave Tommy, to the point that his dad would create pyrotechnics by placing gun powder in pipes. Oh the father/son memories: fishing on a lake, throwing around the ball, and creating pipe bombs. As Tommy talks about his career with Motley and getting a break by touring with Ozzy the cameras continue to cut to blond star fuckers drooling over Lee.

Next we learn Lee is a great cook, leading to Sharon Osbourne making a penis joke and Ozzy doing a five minute stare at her. Other hobbies of Tommy include flowers, trees, and licking toes. Also, when feeding his gold fish he describes the sound as “awesome.� Read full article.

Apparently Jon Gosselin isn’t the only ex-husband of a Dancing With the Stars contestant who’s being supportive. OK! has learned that Tommy Lee is rooting for his ex-wife Pamela Anderson!

Tommy attended the Mario Barth tattoo studio and lounge opening in Las Vegas over the weekend.

“I heard him telling friends at the bash that he watches Pamela on Dancing with the Stars and loves it,� a guest of the event tells OK!.

But he’s also giving the her the support that really counts!
